"Louis Vuitton: What could possibly top last season’s carousel? All aboard Louis Vuitton’s steam roller. It was one of the most spectacular moments of the winter collections, as models stepped off the train, escorted by handsome male models posing as porters, with bags and bags of luxe Louis Vuitton luggage. From the lapel coats to the cropped pants in muted browns and oranges, it was a show-stopper"

"With a mentor like Alexander McQueen, there is a veritable trove of archives and inspirations from which to draw from. Although Sarah Burton’s past seasons have incited hushed revelations about how she really, truly, inhabits the spirit of McQueen, her recent Paris show confirmed how she has come into her own too. The collection was themed around the future, but despite the robotic-looking visors, this was no Armageddon. “It’s about a beautiful future,” said Burton after the show, who wanted to look forward with hope and positivity. The blossoming dresses, bedecked with dense embroidery and filled out with marabou easily charmed the audience and was a gentle reminder that Burton, on a her own, is a uniquely creative designer."

"Chanel: The freezing temperatures in Paris didn’t stop celebrities such as singer Alicia Keys heading to the Grand Palais to watch the Chanel A/W 12-13 show. The set is always mind blowing and this season we were greeted with a mineral rock setting: glowing clear rock crystal and opaque quartz. The spectacular set aside, here’s a look at what you’ll be wearing on Planet Chanel. The new suit? “The new three-piece, a jacket and little dress over trousers!” said Lagerfeld. Colours? They had a sci-fi feel to them: muted shades of hematite, azurite and obsidian were contrasted with jewel-coloured splashes of sulphur, lapis-lazuli, emerald and amethyst. The fabrics were high-tech and futuristic: violet tweed, volcanic coated cotton and silvery Lurex, stippled iridescent feathers and gleaming vinyl. Show stopper? You bet."

"Lanvin: Happy 10th birthday Alber Elbaz. This is a man who knows how to throw a great party. And put together a fabulous, joyful new winter collection, too. Poppy, primary coloured cocktail ensembles were followed by sleek black and navy pieces – full, voluminous skirts and structured coats. The icing on the cake? Bright, printed looks accessorised with glitzy jewels. The message: it’s time to celebrate."

I love coming across magical photo shoots exactly like this one. At first I feel a bit jealous that it's not me in the photos, or my photography or makeup creation or clothing but after a few seconds I begin to truly appreciate the magnificence of such a wonderful shoot. The stylist has it hole in one from the get go, the model knows her angles, the photographer has created a perfect soft, dream like world for the model to live in and the makeup... well the makeup is just superb! 

These are the type of shoots I want to see in Vogue.
